Removing the ink disc from a C&P 10X15

I am refurbishing an C&P 10X15 OS. I would like to remove the ink disk from the bracket that holds it. I cannot see any bolt, key, pin, etc. Any suggestions on how to take it apart for rust removal and lubrication?

If I remember correctly it’s not held in by anything. It’s just a round peg in a round hole and gravity keeps it in there. I believe there are actually two pieces to the disk - an inner and outer portion. That’s how mine worked anyway. If it doesn’t just lift out easily you may need to use some WD40 to loosen up rust if that is the issue.

Paul

Paul is right. I just lifted up on mine (8x10) It is really heavy. I soaked mine in Lemon Juice and Vinegar for 2 weeks and the 2 disks separated nicely.

Good luck!

Thank you for your insight. Mine must really be “gunked up”. It barely spins, but doesn’t move up or down. I’ll hit it hard with deruster.

number52 and Courtney.

After letting the disc and bracket sit overnight (after drenching with penetrating oil), it came apart with no effort whatsoever.

Thanks again.
