Flying Object is bookstore, letterpress, and gallery located in Hadley, MA. Our bookstore specializes in independent poetry and fiction, artists-books, rare & limited-edition work, art, and book-arts related titles. We offer classes in letterpress at our studio (equipped with a Vandercook 4T, Poco #0, Golding-Pearl 7x11, & Kelsey 5x8), bookbinding classes, and creative writing workshops. We also have a gallery where we exhibit work by painters, sculptures, graphic designers, & book artists and keep a vibrant event schedule, full of readings, live music, theater performances, and more. Supported in part by small, independent publishers, artists, writers, and graphic designers, our mission is to support them back.
