The two-third size CALIFORNIA cases have 32 somewhat larger cap compartments, nice for display fonts. The two-third size YANKEE cases have 28 somewhat smaller cap compartments, nice for text faces. Either arrangement is OK, it’s setting from both kinds that brought on many drinking problems for early printers!
