Come work with Montserrat’s wood and metal type collection, as well as a range of presses from the 1890’s to the 1950’s (vandercook and platen). This intensive course is great for beginners or those looking for a refresher, and affords everyone an intensive week of access to presses. We’ll spend the week going over the basics of letterpress printing, planning out a project and printing an edition. Sarah Smith, a former faculty member at Montserrat and now head of Dartmouth College’s letterpress shop, will be your guide and in-house expert. Register before April 10 and receive our early bird discount rate. This class is also available for PDP’s (educators) and/or 1.5 college credits.
