45” Board Shear & Small Bookbinding Presses

Personal circumstances necessitate a rather thorough downsizing of my bindery/studio, so I am selling the following:

45-inch Robinson board shear, in very good condition, refurbished several years ago. It cuts binders board and other heavy materials well; the blade could use some tuning if thin materials are more of a priority. An unusual and visually interesting piece, as well as being functional. Asking $3400, or best offer. [sold]

Wooden tabletop standing press, with a working platen area of approximately 11 by 17 inches between the posts, very lightly used and in excellent condition. Asking $275. [sold]

Small iron nipping press with a platen size of 8 1/2 by 11 1/2 inches. The platen surfaces have a few rough spots, but the press works very well nevertheless with two pieces of binders board as padding to protect the press boards. Asking $225.

Wooden lying press with 2 5/8 inch cheeks, and 15 1/2 inches of clearance between the screws. There is a batten of sorts attached for a plough, but none is included - only the wooden wrench for tightening. Asking $95. [sold]

Buyer must pickup or arrange for shipment of the board shear, due to its size, although I could be available to assist with loading. Shipping arrangements for the three presses are negotiable.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions, or for more detailed images.
