Carlson Craft, a leader in the print industry is seeking Part and Full Time Heidelberg Press Operators. Flexible schedules available working between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. As a Press Operator, you would be responsible for operating a Printing Press to print copy in ink or foil on invitations and announcements for many events, napkins, holiday cards and more! This position also offers the opportunity to cross train in our Letterpress area.

Responsibilities Include:
•Operating a printing press to produce occasion items such as napkins, cake boxes, holiday cards, etc.
•Inspecting finished product for smears, stains, uniform shading and contrast.
•Periodically washing cylinders with solvent.
•Changing ink, foil and die cuts per instructions.
•Proofreading products to ensure copy is correct.
•May pull appropriate amount of stock for various orders.
•Making adjustments to the machines as necessary.

Job Challenges:

Quality is of utmost importance. It’s important that you make sure the ink/foil or stock is the correct color, the wording is correct, the copy remains centered and consistent, the stock isn’t torn, dirty, bent, or missing any of the amount ordered.

Position Requirements
1.Formal Education (minimum)
•High School or equivalent
2.Prerequisite Work Experience
•Printing industry knowledge a plus
3.Technical or Specialized Knowledge
•Ability to discern between different color shades.
•Mechanically inclined
•Good eye-hand coordination
•Ability to pick out fine details.
•Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
•Ability to read a ruler
