A beautiful antique cast iron book / Paper press Made by Pridmore Automatic Screw Co. Stenciled on front and back. The press plate covers a tabloid size sheet with ½” all around. The screw functions very smoothly and although there is some surface corrosion on the wheel and super structure the press surfaces are in great shape with no corrosion.
The drawer base is in excellent condition and the drawers are tight with no cracks. Two drawers and a work shelf slide out. Great handles too!
I thought I had a most phenomenal flower press for my wife but alas it’s just been sitting in the corner getting no love from either of us. So time for it to go to a new home; so much the better if it even returns to pressing books or some other print making activity.
