Introduction to Press Maintenance with Basil Head, London

Join us at the London Centre for Book Arts on Sunday 9 October 2016 for a one-day Introduction to Press Maintenance, led by veteran press engineer Basil Head.

A great opportunity for those who already own, or are planning on acquiring a press of their own. During the class we will cover table-top presses such as Adanas, to larger, cylinder presses such as the Vandercook. This class is perfect for people who wish to learn more about how to properly run and maintain a letterpress printing press.

The introduction will be demonstrated on the presses in use at the London Centre for Book Arts, including a Vandercook, FAG, Stevenson Blake and Adana. The principles covered during the workshop can be applied to most types of presses, and there will be a chance to discuss specific machines and issues during and at the end of the session.
