cylinder press for a university letterpress teaching studio

I am looking for a cylinder press for a university letterpress studio.

The ideal press should be in good working condition, something that prints a larger form than our No. 4 Vandercook (though I would consider another No. 4 because it’s a beautiful machine). Our physical limitations include an elevator that lifts 5000lbs, but only has a 47” opening at the door (3’11”) and a span of 108” front door-to-back door (9’). If a feedboard needs to be removed to accommodate the press fitting in the elevator, I am happy to reconnect it onsite. I believe a Universal 3 would fit in the elevator without a feedboard. But, I believe a 219 would not (which is why it’s not on the list below.) Transportation from the press location to our studio is also a concern (moving presses makes me nervous). I am happy to talk about other press options not listed below, if something unusual comes up. All transactions and transport need to take place before Mid-June.

In order of preference I would prefer these press models:
Universal 3
SP20
Universal 1
No. 4

The letterpress shop is part of the Department of Art and Design at Middle Tennessee State University—just outside of Nashville—in Murfreesboro, TN. MTSU has a full time faculty member (Kathleen O’Connell) teaching letterpress to graphic design and studio art majors every semester. We proudly send interns to Hatch Show Print.
