These four classes will allow you to create a set of Japanese bound books from start to finish. We will begin by making our own paper using traditional Nagashizuki methods and then decorate the paper we made through brush and dip dyeing, shibori, and momigami techniques. Next, we will use our handmade decorative papers to create cover papers for use in binding three traditional Japanese books. Finally, we will create a two-flap Japanese portfolio to house our books and to tie together the work we produced into an elegant, finished product.
