C&P 10 x 15 Treadle Press

1913 Chandler & Price 10 x 15 treadle press ready to print.

I was contacted yesterday about a press auctioned from an abandoned storage unit. I went to inspect it and found this absolute beauty still crated from shipment by A-1 Enterprises in Detroit. It’s been fully cleaned and oiled and is ready to print right now. I’ve checked it over and see nothing wrong with it. Rollers are new and unused.
It was clearly originally set up as a powered press with autofeed, but was converted to hand-fed treadle operation at some point. The power-take-off is still attached, though, and its clutch looks to be working as well, so it could be powered very easily.

The press is just south of Memphis in Horn Lake, MS, ready for shipment, at ground-level, and stored in a climate-controlled facility. The current owner would like it gone as soon as possible as he has to pay for storage as long as he has it. And for those at the Nashville ‘Goose, it’s just a few hours away! Why not take home a gorgeous new press?
