Big etching press Bay Area CA

Build by Conrad 1962, Sturges Model No. CP 5.
Bed size: 28 X 48 inches. Steel bed 1 inch thick.
Roller diameter 6 inch full steel.
Gear box planetary S-3 reduction drive 8 to 1, still used by Conrad on their big presses today.
Weight: about 1.200 pound

Tis press was owned by only 1 artist. After i bought it, i cleaned it up, lubed the bearings, adjusted everything and put a shelf under it. I added 2 steel stringers 2 x2 inch so i can move the press easy with a pallet jack in my studio.
There is no rust on the press, it looks like new. The paint is still original.

I decides to stay with letterpress printing and got a interesting offer for a Vandercook proofing press. Dont have the money and the space for both presses.

I am asking $ 3.500 incl. 3 sets of blankets, on of them is new.

If this is what you are looking for, please contact me by clicking on my name and send a mail with a telephone number and we can talk.
The pictures shows the press in 1962, when i bought it and during restauratione. Upper roller is cleaned up, lower not yet.
i am German so please excuse my typos.
