Repairs (Vandercook SP20); Bay Area, CA

Hi friends, I very recently purchased a Vandercook SP20. It is in need of what I think is a relatively straightforward repair. I’m not well versed enough, at least yet, to handle these types of repairs. The nylon wheel at the end of press, on the operator side, is missing, which I think is correlated with the carriage getting stuck (not moving more than two inches or so). See the two attached photos.

Looking for a knowledgeable printer who is familiar with Vandercook SPs, who wouldn’t mind working on this repair. I live in Oakland, CA, and can purchase the parts, etc. The estimate I’ve been given by various folks is about 2-3 hours for the repair.

Would be so grateful for someone’s help. While COVID-19 creates some safety issues, I’ll make sure to make this safe for everyone (the press is located in my home, in a studio space that’s isolated from the rest of the house).

Thank you!

Warmly,
Cristiana
