Pay for Letterpress printers

Hello,

I am thinking about hiring my first pressmen to help me out. I have no idea what kind of hourly rate pressmen get these days. Anyone willing to share some thoughts?

I have seen Trainee press crew starting at $11.00/hr, and journeymen make up to 27.50/hr. This is in Northern California. A lot depends on state, town, economy of local area, equipment that press crew must run=size of press, and operations that they will do=printing, die cutting, embossing, etc.,
