Homemade chase
Hey,
I have a machine that I want to use type with, yet it doesnt come with a chase, just the base (see sketch below)
The thing is, the machine has a printing area of 2*4”, So I was wondering,
a) do I need a chase at all, Could I just use the machine as it is?
b) could I make a chase for this machine, and how would I do it?

This sounds very much like one of the baby Adana tabletop platens or something quite similar. These could have the printing are enlarged slightly in the way that you suggest. Is there any make or model information on or with your machine, and where are you located?
Is this machine the hot foil machine that you are trying to identify elsewhere in the discussion area, with a link to an illustration of it?
