Help! My C&P 10x15 just clamped up
Hi,
I have been pressing all day on my 1923 C&P 10x15. I just put on the chase, started turning the wheel before I turned the motor on, pulled the release lever toward me, and now NOTHING will move! The chase and plate are clamped together and no parts will move and the fly wheel won’t turn. I don’t know what to do! PLEASE help! Thank you sooooo much! Elizabeth

Sounds like the press is locked up mid-impression. Did you switch forms right before this happened? Did you add packing?

Try to dis-assemble throw-off linkage (release lever to you), remove side arms, whatever you might do, Whether loosening impression screws, trying out the chase…DO NOT FORCE THE FLYWHEEL!!!!
