Penrith Museum of Printing Inc. Museum

The Penrith Museum of Printing located at the foot of the Blue Mountains near Sydney Australia, is a working museum that is set up to depict a 1940’s style print shop. The museum is is open to the public on Saturdays between the hours of 10am and 2.00pm (other times by appointment). The museum is a non-profit organisation that was established to preserve letterpress printing for present and future generations. Entry is via a “gold coin” donation. Our volunteers who are experienced printing tradesman are on-hand to demonstrate and discuss the numerous pieces of letterpress printing equipment in our collection. The museum runs a Typography course that is designed to give participants an introduction to the world of the Compositor of old. We look forward to seeing you soon.
