Association of Handcraft Printers

Founded in 1974, the Association of Handcraft Printers is a nationwide community for people interested in letterpress and relief printing. Our members include traditional tradespeople, contemporary designers, and printers exploring everything from metal type and restored presses to polymer plates, book arts, and experimental relief work.

AHP members are based throughout Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia, with regional meet‑ups where possible and an annual Wayzgoose. Anyone with an interest in letterpress/ relief printing — from beginners to experienced printers — is warmly welcome to join.
