Roller’s inking entire base

Using an adana 5x8 witha photopolymer plate if I adjust the base to get a deep relief image then the rollers cover the entire base with ink.

You should not need to adjust the base/type to create impression, all additional “raising” should be done under the stock to be printed. The plane of the typefaces should always be .918 from the bed of the press.

You may need to put shim tape (of various sorts) on the rails to have the least possible contact surface between the type and the rollers, as photopolymer is rather fussy in terms of over inking or in inking up the base/non-printing areas.

make sure you are using minimum 1.52 polymer plate, and also perhaps cut out/remove base where it is not supporting type/image.
