chandler and price platen

I’m a letterpress printer by trade but never came across a chandler and price platen when I did my apprenticeship in the uk. Can anyone tell me, is there a mechanical adjustment for the forme rollers whereby I can adjust the rollers to type height by moving the rails?’. (like a heidleberg T platen)
thanks in anticipation

dantheprinterman, MERTS, or tape the rails, best james

I believe the Craftsman series have adjustable rails, but the Gordon Old Styles (either old series or new series) certainly do not. As Mr. Bourland intimates, Morgan Expandable Roller Trucks (MERTs) are the traditional solution to this problem. They are hard to come by now, though. The usual modern solution is to either tape the rails or the trucks. There are proponents of both methods who make interesting cases for each. I suspect that either works pretty much the same.

many thanks mike and james

Another question regarding a chandler and price platen, what’s the correct diameter and shore hardness of the rollers?
Should the roller diameter be larger than the trucks?
