At age 39, I am a younger type guy and am interested in the possibility of starting a low-tech hobby print shop on our rural property. We want to be able to print small specialty jobs and preserve history at the same time. One of the pieces we’re looking at is an older model Linotype, but our budget is small, so we can’t afford to go too far (as in, out of state) to get a machine.
Does anyone know of any older, still-working Linotypes in Oklahoma…such as in newspaper back-rooms, that they might want someone to “get out of their way”?
We are located in rural Dover, OK, pretty much right in the center of the state. Thanks in advance!
