Doeler proof press
Can anyone help in finding information about the Doeler proof press, such as when and where these were made. If someone has any printed material on the press, I would appreciate if I could get a copy.
Thank you.

I have never heard of Doeler, is that written on the press somewhere?
I have a press very similar to yours, but a few things are opposite. Such as my handle points toward the bed of the press and the frisket lever is on the opposite side. My press has no manufacturer name but I was told it is a Line-O-Scribe Show Card Writer, and was not made by the Morgan company.

Hello, Christa,
Thank you for the information. It appears that it is exactly the same press and I’ve found other references on the Internet to Line-O-Scribe Show Card Writer that match.
I got the name Doeler from the side of the brackets that guide the impression roller over the frisket. It’s very faint, and small, but it’s cast into the metal piece.
BTW, the reason my handle is facing the other way and the frisket handle is on the front side is because someone else took it apart and I cleaned and reassembled it without seeing how it looked before. I guess I have a little adjusting to do. :)
Thanks again, and you might want to check out this URL for more information.
