Strange Bullet Type

I found this in a case of what appears to be Cooper Black. It looks like a bullet, but on closer inspection appears to be an upside down heart shape. I’ve never seen this before. I thought it might be a really misshapen quotation mark, but it doesn’t seem like it’s in the right position. Any clues on what it might be? Thank you.

I believe that McGrew called it a “classic point;” it was only included in the Cooper Roman fonts.
