Hamilton Type Cabinet

The Printing Museum in Houston is looking to rehome a beautiful Hamilton type cabinet! Dimensions: 29” deep x 106” long x 44.5” tall. My understanding was this type cabinet would have originally been used in a newspaper business. It’s complete with the exception of missing three sorts drawers. Many of the cases still have metal type in good, usable condition including:
—12pt Park Avenue
—36pt Park Avenue
—12pt No. 3
—18pt No. 3
—6pt No. 3 Black
—12pt Brush
—24pt Brush
—30pt Bush
—14pt Typo Script
—18pt Typo Script
—5pt No. 4 Black
—12pt No. 4 Black
—6pt No. 4
—6pt News Gothic
—12pt No. 2
—12pt Brandon

We’re hoping that a printer gives it a wonderful new home and is able to put it back to good use! (Cylinder stereotypes seen in photos are not included with this sale.)

Pick up in Houston from our loading dock by July 31st. Sorry, we are unable to ship this item. $2000 or best offer. Email for more information. Serious inquiries only, please!

All proceeds from the sale support the museum’s mission of igniting creativity, fostering tangible self-expression, and championing the history and power of print through our exhibits and hands-on learning.
