Help identifying Barth Typecasting machines

Hi, can someone tell me if this machine is one of those invented by Mr. H. Barth.

It was used at the Salesian Foundry in Colombia (1933).

And please confirm which factory the other machine belongs to, which I understand is for cutting metal.

¡Thanks!

Hi, Laura:

The image 02.jpg seems to show a Barth-style type casting machine. It is hard to say, but the flywheel presented here looks correct.

I say “Barth-like” because actually it looks like a Foucher, which is the machine that the Barth is based on.

You can see a Foucher here: https://www.circuitousroot.com/artifice/letters/press/noncomptype/caster...

Or a Barth here:

My group, The Printing Stewards (https://printingstewards.org/), is preserving 9 Barth Casters in the United States. And we are VERY interested to know if any were ever used in other countries, especially in South America. Could you tell me more about this image and where it came from?

You can email me at [email protected]
