Kelsey JR Model R Chase information

Does anyone have a Kelsey JR Model R in their collection?
I got one recently but did not come with a chase. I am looking for the dimensions so I can make one up in cad and images to help me get this right.

Other than that the press is in beautiful condition and ready to be put into working order.

If anyone has the chase and is willing to provide me with reference images and measurements that would be incredible!

I do not have one anymore, chase is more complicated then others
but as always no rocket science unless you try to make it with computer at least for me.
This is a closed chase that means it has a steel plate on back.
Inside chase is 2 1/8”x 3 3/8” x 7/8” deep

One Back plate 1/8” x 3” x 3 5/8”
Two Rails 1/8” x 7/8” x 3 1/8”” round corners.
top and bottom plates 1/8” x 3/4” x 3 3/8”
Small tab to lock in 1/8” x 5/8” x 5/8” plate with 1/4” x 1/4” cut out on top.
Some small tabs to attach to back plate if welded it may warp.
3/16” holes tapped to lock in type.

OMG Todd!
You legend thank you so much!

Yeah I am going the rocket science route, I am going to CAD it up 3d print to prototype then get one of the members at the printery group I am a part of to CNC it.

Huge help!

I too have more photos if you need them. I was going to 3D print one for you but you seem to be way ahead of me.
Note that the back plate is riveted on. It might be better to thread it.

The only part I am having trouble with is the locking tabs at the bottom. That’s a cad skill issue not anything else lol.
I have the rest of the chase modelled and test printed.
Fits absolutely perfectly, side rails working and the interior space and depth is perfect.

Getting so close I am excited to try this press.

Got it!
Thanks so much Todd
Success!!!

Almost ready for test printing after all the minor iterations I’m finally ready. Here is a block I printed type height minus unmounted lino.

Tested the function on the roller tonight and everything seems to be perfect height. Just need a better way to mount it to the 3d printed block.

Only had cheap double sided tape lol

Very nice, when you’re ready for a side hustle making chases and other stuff for small presses look me up.
