Help Identifying Mystery Parts (Possibly Original Heidelberg / Windmill?)
Hi everyone,
I’m hoping to tap into the collective wisdom here to help identify some mechanical components I recently acquired.
I have a strong indication that these are from a printing press, most likely an Original Heidelberg (Windmill) or similar vintage letterpress equipment, but I am trying to confirm exactly what they are and which specific model they belong to before I decide on the next steps for them.
Markings: 114TS, 122TS, 138TS
Context: These came from a friend’s father that had been a machinist for many years. I’ve found several other items that belonged to the letter press industry already, but this item in particular has given me some trouble with being able to identify it’s origin.
My main goal is to identify them correctly so they can eventually find their way to someone who can use them for a restoration or active press.
Any insights on the specific function or year/model compatibility would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

I could be wrong since I don’t own one, but to me that looks like parts to one of the type saws. Trim O Saw or some such like that. There’s a few types. But that’s what I’m thinking.

You’re absolutely correct. This is a Miller trim-o-saw… and apparently it’s a universal type saw that allows a little more fine tuning than the original.
The Manufacturer & Model
Manufacturer: Miller Saw-Trimmer Company (Pittsburgh, PA).
The Machine: This assembly is from a Miller Universal or Miller Special Saw-Trimmer.
The Era: Based on the casting style and the “TS” (Trimmer-Saw) prefix, this unit likely dates to the late 1920s through the 1940s. This was the “Golden Age” of Miller machinery before they were acquired and shifted focus in the 1950s.
