Challenge Proof Press Issue

Help! We have a Challenge Proof Press15GP. I’m having issues with a bar that slides in and out when turning the press. I can’t locate the manual so I’m not sure what to call the bar but on the right hand side the gear keeps popping out after it’s suppose to slide in place when the bed is moved back in place. (see attached images). If anyone has information on this type of press, it would be greatly appreciated.

Update: Finally located the manual. The issue is the Impression Trip Latch Shaft Gear.
