1887 Pearl has broken roller arm!

Hello: I recently moved from Colorado to Bearsville NY bringing with me my 1887 Pearl. It has a broken roller arm and I need help either replacing it or fixing it although I know that’s a problem with cast metal. Anyone know of a press mechanic in the Hudson Valley area?
Thanks,
Gail

One possibility is to remove the broken arm and take it to a skilled welder, who can either weld or braze it back together. Another possibility is to find someone with a “parts press” Pearl which has an undamaged roller arm and obtain a replacement that way. In either case you’ll have to take your press partly apart and reassemble it. Pearl press repairmen are not a common species.

Gail,
Welcome to the Hudson Valley.
You may want to reach out to John Barrettt at [email protected], ‭(413) 222-9029‬, or the Pearl guru, John Falstrom at [email protected]

In any case, check out TheWestchesterChappel.org.
We’d love to meet you.
