I’ve acquired a Kelsey Star 7x11. Luckily there appear to be no cracks that need to be brazed, it runs a complete rotation without issue, and has the chase and ink disk in tact. I think I will start with cosmetic work and then get new rollers from Todd. I restored a 5x7 Excelsior two years ago, so I’m familiar with the basic mechanics and where to source some parts.
The issue! I know these presses are rare, so I’m looking at manufacturing a new treadle and it’s missing finger grippers. Any idea of a person who has experience with manufacturing treadles? Or am I better off calling around locally? Does anyone know where I may be able to find finger grippers?
I’m grateful that the missing parts have workarounds like hand cranking or adding a motor, but I would love to get it as close to its original working state as I can.
Kelsey Star 7x11 Parts Needed/Manufactured
Hello!

Thank you for your time!
