Clymer & Dixon Columbian Printing Presses

I am seeking snapshot photos of both sides of the second counterweight of Clymer & Dixon Columbian presses made after 1834 (the smaller second counterweight is mounted on an arm extending from the rear side of the toggle mechanism). (If unsure of the manufacture date the photos will still be helpful.) If you have or know of such a press, please help - I need this information for a study of George Clymer. The photos can be simple smart phone snapshots which show each entire side of the smaller second counterweight. — Bob Oldham

We have a Bevan built Columbian from 1858. Attached photos of both sides of the second counter weight. The backside is a bit tricky as the press is up against a wall. These are just quick phone photos, happy to take better quality photos and or take measurements, just let me know what you need!

Is anyone on BP in or near Caulfield, Vic, AU and could visit Monash University’s Ancora Press Clymer & Dixon Columbian press? I would like to obtain a photo of both sides of the “second counterweight” of that press; the photo I have shows part of the front side which I believe is a portrait of George Clymer, and another bas-relief image is on the reverse side. At the moment Australia has the only two Clymer & Dixon presses possessing such second counterweights that I have recorded, among more than 225 Columbian presses worldwide!

And thanks very much for those photos of the Bowne Printers Columbian second counterweight, which is the traditional “Hope & Anchor” design which was replaced on Clymer & Dixon Columbians, apparently temporarily, by the one of which I am seeking images.
