Barb’d Wire Press

Formerly known as the Livermore Grape Press since 1976, I changed the name to Barb’d Wire Press in 2006 when retiring and moving from Livermore, CA back to our roots in DeKalb, IL. I had sold most of my hobby press equipment and type before leaving California so had to rebuild my shop once we relocated. I found an 8x12 C&P Oldstyle with motor which now sets in our garage, plus a 6X9 Golding Official #4 in my basement shop. I belong to AAPA, NAPA and APA #556. My photo is at Alameda County Fair.
