One word not inking

One of the words on my magnesium plate won’t ink well. Everything is the same height and the rest is inking just fine, even other words on the same row. Anybody know what the problem could be?

Perhaps a worn area in the packing or press board under the tympan paper? Sometimes doesn’t take much. Also the condition of your rollers can sometimes cause something like that but it’s hard to say with it out seeing it.

If you add a bit of packing under that section and it still doesn’t print well, you might want to try flipping the form over. This will tell you if it is a problem with the plate or with the press.
