Anchor Press Museum and Workshop

The Anchor Press Museum is one of Britain’s most exciting, appropriate and timely projects to have the aim of preserving our printing heritage. It is exciting because it will be a working museum with hands-on printing and education at its heart. It is timely because, though industrial printing from metal type is now fast fading from our collective memory, there are still printers around who were apprenticed as compositors or machine minders, some of them at the Anchor Press.

Our ambition is to establish a working printing Museum and educational workshops.
