Does anyone know of an instructional video for letterpess printing, hopefully including a Vandercook Proof Press #4?
Somebody could make some money with that because I’d be willing to pay for that video tape! Personally, it’s easier for me to learn by watching/doing than reading.
Move over Paris Hilton and Pam Anderson! Maybe we could get them to do a letterpress demonstration video…naaaaah, they are probably dumber than I am about printing.
Currently they have a few moderately short clips. I get the impression they intend to make more.
Not all inclusive, meaning it won’t take the place of learning from a class or as a student of an experienced printer, but I don’t think any video will be or should be. Nor do I actually think there would be a market for it.
I would, however, LOVE to see a printer take a bit of time to put together videos of what they do on a daily basis, explaining how things work and why they are doing what they’re doing.
Also do check youtube for some interesting videos. I don’t recall ever seeing any “instructional” videos on there, but interesting no doubt.
