Senior Press Operator Wanted

SENIOR PRESS OPERATOR

Skills include:

· Proficiency in operation of Heidelberg cylinder and windmill platen presses as well as Vandercook, C & P and Kluge presses.

· Production of premier quality, custom letterpress work that meets client standards for color density and impression in a commercial print environment.

· Expert level of experience in letterpress printing, scoring and die-cutting. Working knowledge of foiling and debossing equipment a plus.

· Basic working knowledge of offset and UV ink printing, engraving, multi-level embossing and debossing and bindery.

· Experience with polymer plate production utilizing equipment with auto exposure, washout and drying functions.

· Production staff supervisory experience.

Responsibilities include:

· Manage production staff of 3-4 people.

· Maintain and oversee extremely high-quality control at every stage of production.

· Schedule and perform press checks with clients.

· Coordinate project trafficking with multiple outside vendors including paper merchants, mail houses and other print or production houses.

· Work with Studio to create, maintain and communicate production schedules to other staff.

· Order press-room supplies including plate material, inks, press parts and general supplies.

· Oversee and enforce safety standards in press room.
