Hand guard for c&p 10x15

I saw these mentioned on another thread about safety while printing and am wondering if anybody knows where to get one? Thanks.

Theoretically, proper posture and a correctly sized feed board will keep you safe. If you stand straight at the feed board and rest your hand on it, it should slide away from your reach when closing, and you would have to lean to keep your fingers on the platen when it closes.

I have spent most of my time on small cylinder proofers, but I’m sure someone here will weigh in.

If you want the part, which might be a good thing if under-trained people are using your press, I would suggest Dave Churchman, Letterpress Things, Don Black perhaps, and the other usual suspects in the yellow pages. They might have the guard, or might be able to refer you to someone who does.

I believe I’m the undertrained person using my press. I’m a beginner and thought it might be a good part to have.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll try them.

KateMW - If you can’t find this part in one of the sources in the Printer's Yellow Pages, requests like this are more appropriate for the Letterpress Classifieds, and will get more exposure there.
