Arthur and Mata Jaffe Collection: Books as Aesthetic Objects

The Jaffe Collection came to Florida Atlantic University through the generosity of Arthur and Mata Jaffe, whose book arts collection was developed over the course of fifty years. The eclectic collection covers most every facet of the book arts, and is especially strong in the works of Leonard Baskin and in the works of Florida book artists. The Jaffe Collection also features an extensive reference section for book arts research. The collection is housed in a special suite at FAU’s Wimberly Library, and may be viewed by appointment. Ongoing book arts exhibits in the Jaffe Atrium Gallery may be viewed at any time during regular library hours.
