Letterpress shop established in 1993 run by book-artist Michael Caine. I work on a variety of diverse book commissions for French publishers of artist’s books (twenty to thirty per year). Currently collecting as many interesting types for book-work as possible, plus unusual French types from 1890 to 1930 and Italian nebiolo types. Have extensive collections of original foundry versions of: Sabon, Kis-Janson, Stempel Garamond, Mauritius, Athenaeum, Trieste (Kleukens) and small amounts of authentic Art Nouveau types. Commercial work, letterheads, invitations occasionally done. Have good contacts with network of European letterpress suppliers and French printers. Michael Caine publishes modern European poetry as Editions Petropolis.
