Prairie Rose Press

The Prairie Rose Press is a new letterpress operation, with one person doing it all. John Deason has decided to bring a press back to Muscatine, where Carroll Coleman first started his Prairie Press, before it moved to Iowa City, Iowa. This press concentrates on limited edition books of poetry, essays, and short stories. Only one book has been published to date. New facilities are being built in December, 2002. John Deason, MFA from University of Iowa, 1998, owns and operates the press.
