I have a 350 sq/ft. studio in a warehouse full of artist studios in West Oakland (on Mandela Parkway @ West Grand), right by the entrance to the Bay Bridge. This is a great blossoming community of artists of a variety of mediums.
I have a 10” x 15” C&P platten press with a motor to run it. I have 5-6 drawers of type with room for more. I also have a nice guillotine paper-cutter that cuts 300 sheets at once, and a table-top etching press.
I am looking for 2 people to share this space with. The rent would be $110 each. Plus, a $100 deposit. I’m happy to share my equipment with anyone with some experience using a platten press and would welcome any tools or equipment that a studio mate would bring into the space as well (depending on the size). I would also be open to a non-printer using the space if all you need is an easel or desk and a little room to store your materials.
I’d probably be using the studio 2-3 times/week, so I’m looking for people who would also like to use it just a few times a week (or at night, since I’d mainly be using the space during the day). We can certainly work at the same time, since a lot of work doesn’t require the press. It’d be nice to have a flexible schedule.

P.S. - The photos below show the studio when I first moved into the space. It’s filled up a bit more with tools and equipment, but that space to the left of the press is still there.
