New Canaan Hand Press

The New Canaan Hand Press is one of a number of museums run by the New Canaan Historical Society. It is a re-creation of a 19th century printing office built around an original Smith-Hoe Acorn press, typical of the third or fourth types of iron presses made in America. View 19th-century type cases along with other antique equipment and printing samples in this fully operable printing office.
