Basic Bookbinding Equipment
What is the basic equipment needed for paperback book binding? I want to know what the letterpress industry says are the most reliable pieces of machinery. Lists of equipment you have in your shop & any other information (Web site links, names of references) are most appreciated. Goal: to be able to produce press runs of 1,000 to 2,000 books of up to 100 pages on average 6-12 times a year.
I personally use the equipment from Mapping marketed under the Fastbind name. I have the Secura and have done as many as 2500 without a problem. Very simple to use and cost effective.
