Smudge Ink, a design and letterpress print shop in Charlestown, seeks a Letterpress Printer. Heidelberg experience would be fantastic! Chandler & Price and/or Vandercook experience would be good. You must be organized, efficient, a team player and okay with modern letterpress techniques, namely polymer plates and a deep impression. Consistency in printing and commitment to quality are also required.
3-4 days a week
Starting on November 30, 2009 through March 31, 2010.
Our lead printer is taking a winter sabbatical and we need someone to print while she’s gone. It’s possible the job could continue beyond March, but that hasn’t been determined yet.
