Canton Historical Museum

The Canton Historical Museum’s extensive collection of 19th Century memorabilia is housed on three floors in one of the original Collins Axe Company buildings. One of the exhibits is a working 19th century print shop. The exhibit features everything that a typical local printer would have had in the late 1800’s, including hand-set type and a foot treadle powered letterpress.
Items printed on the press are available in the gift shop. Consult the web site or phone the museum for hours when the print shop can be seen in operation.
