Adana 53 inking Roller dimension

Hi everybody. It is my first post regarding my first press, still unused.

I received an ADANA 53 as a gift some time ago. Actually I got it as a nice decoration for my office… but it looks in working order so I decided to get involved with Leterpress.

I live in Argentina, so getting spares from Caslon will be far out of reach for me (mail and customs do not mix well here…). The printer is pretty much complete, but the inking rollers do not look so happy since the diameter is bigger on the extremes than in the middle of the roller.

I have a supplier which can recoat them, but I want to be sure about the dimensions and the material. Any advise?

I’ll let you all know when I finally get some decent prints.. so far I purchased a full Helvetica 10pt used and not too damaged for my first tests.. then I will go for brand new lead..

Regards and Thanks!

You should have 4 roller trucks with those rollers. The roller trucks are either in metal or plastic, one part has got a larger diameter, the other part a smaller diameter, the roller shouls have the smaller diameter. You can measure this with a caliper.

Great. Thanks!
