Hi Paul,
It is English Monotype Pattern #496, and the mats don’t appear to be common in the USA. 18 and 24 were cellular matrices for the Monotype caster, 36 and 48 were display for the Thompson caster.
I haven’t seen this face in any current foundry catalogs, but perhaps some of our UK members could say whether mats exist there.

Hi Paul,
I have a 6A 9a font of 36 pt. Pagoda/Matura. I obtained it in the late 70’s from a typography shop that used it for repos only so it is in like-new shape. “Pagoda” is how the case was labeled when I picked this up. I have never used it but simply grabbed it at the time because it was interesting and had some style to it. It is the only font that I have of this face. I would be happy to sell it to you or possible trade for something else. Let me know.
