Name this font contest- 5 Line

Here’s a nice 5 line font that I dragged up from the basement.

No marking on the A.

Any help IDing it would be great !

I now have folks asking when I will be listing these fonts on the BP classifieds- this one will be listed on Sunday night provided I have an ID for it.

Thanks so much to those who are helping with the IDs- the fonts are finding good homes :)

De Vinne. Pronounced da-vinny. A very popular 19th century design with lots of variations.

The capital E, at the end, may belong to De Vinne Condensed, Hamilton No. 634, but the rest are De Vinne, Hamilton No.627.
You might want to check in your storage area to see if you also have a complete font of the Condensed, before selling the font, and compare it.

Thanks Dave.

My guess is this was put in as the nearest thing that could be found so that’s why it is in with the font- dad probably bought it that way.

The E does look different.

I will poke around, but generally the wood fonts are very well organised.

Thanks again!
