You set gauge pins, put each sheet in the pins and your registering. Exactly what do you want to know. Dick G.

Ememtal,
There are probably a number of posts on Briarpress about registration. Here are the few important points I would offer you.
Regardless of whether you are using metal type or a cut a simple way to get registration is to tape a piece of translucent paper (commonly referred to as vellum) to the tympan. Pull an impression on the vellum. Place your substrate (paper) under the vellum and position the substrate so that it lines up in position. Then with a pencil trace lines along the edges of the paper, remove the vellum and use the lines as a guide for positioning your
guide pins. If you are printing additional colors, tape down another piece of vellum and pull and impression of your next color,f cut, or image, position your printed piece under the vellum, get imposition, trace the lines and set your your guides.
Depending on the type of guide pins you use I can suggest other “tricks” for registration. I use quad pins with a lever action.
As Dickg says above put your sheet in the pins an go.
Seriously, another important point is to always use the same edge as guide and gripper, i.e., lead edge and side edge, as your paper will not likely be perfectly square and you want to make sure the same edge is always used. In fact when paper is cut you should try to keep it in the same direction using the same edge throughout your run(s). I took some short videos of the process a few years ago, if I can post it I will send the link.
Good luck, Steve V.
