Windmill Clutch Sticking

I printed a job on unruly stock and had to stop the press more than I would have liked. Now the clutch on my 10x15 Windmill has started to stick and make a popping sound whenever I attempt to start it up. I have doused it in oil and was wondering if there is another solution to the problem?

Does the clutch “grab” when you engage the handle? If so, the clutch itself may have broken. It is cast iron and expands like a drum brake when engaged. I’ve seen several clutches fatigue and break at the flex point.
